FOX Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 28 stations in 17 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include performing all HR-generalist duties for the Fox owned-and-operated tri-opoly television stations in Orlando/Gainesville, FL. Generalist duties include but are not limited to directing and managing the Stations' employee relations and employment programs and initiatives, recruiting/applicant tracking, performance management and performance evaluation administration, FMLA, worker’s compensation, policy administration, and affirmative action compliance and monitoring. Knowledge and experience working with the OFCCP regulations, a plus. Candidate will work in concert with Station management and Corporate Human Resources to ensure that all employment regulatory requirements are met and Company policies are adhered to. Other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned.
Required skill set includes effective written/verbal communications, creative problem solving, conflict management and resolution, and expert computer (Word, Excel, HRIS: Workday, JDE/PeopleSoft) and data management skills. In addition to the important strategic role of this position, it is also a high volume and hands-on administrative position requiring strong organization skills. Must also have strong leadership skills and the ability to develop solid collaborative relationships with all levels of staff. Must be able to multi-task with excellent attention to detail and maintain strict confidentiality. Discretion in handling confidential material and information is required. Position requires at least five (5) years HR Management experience; experience working in a one-person HR department a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Organizational Development or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
