Agile Project Manager Intern

As an Agile Project Manager Intern for Blackboard’s Process Innovation team, you help track, and manage a broad portfolio of product development initiative within the Product Development organization. You will work with Scrum teams to help ensure alignment, transparency, and consistency across teams. You will help monitor the portfolio for risks and proactively engage teams in mitigation of those risks. You must be a forward thinker who can assess situations, recommend solutions, and drive positive change across an organization.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Working with the Agile Project Manager lead as an Agile evangelist to help drive adoption, consistency, and maturity throughout the organization
• Driving process improvement and consistency across 2 or more Scrum teams
• Coordinating and tracking complex projects spanning multiple geographically distributed teams
• Managing cross-team project dependencies and helping teams mitigate risks in schedule and scope
Learning & Development:
• Hands on experience with the Agile Development Process.
• Project Management experience
• Managing Scrum Teams
• Working with SaaS Product Development Team
The Candidate:
• Has a basic understanding of and enthusiasm for Agile.
• Has light combined Agile and Technical Project Management course work.
• Has a basic understanding of full SDLC processes
• Has excellent oral and written communication skills
• Can build relationships through demonstrated integrity, trust, and humility
• Can influence diverse teams through writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Can consolidate complex information to provide meaningful communication to stakeholders at all levels and fluidly adjust style.
