Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Supervise, train and schedule techs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise, train and schedule part-time and on-call concert staff.
• Interface with Artists’ production staff.
• Provide Entertainment Director with progress reports regarding concert series staff performance.
• Interface with vendor representatives in regards to staging, lighting, pyrotechnics and sound equipment.
• Ability to solve problem areas in concert and audiovisual production.
• Oversee concert techs’ in setting up scheduled concerts, pyro shows and interdepartmental special events in regards to equipment load in, curtain hang, chair risers, stage set-up.
• Lighting and sound set-up, tear down and load out.
• Knowledge in the operation of various equipment used in the department.
• Maintain clean storage and work areas.
• Ability to make minor repairs and scheduling of repairs when needed.
• Successfully train, evaluate, counsel all technicians in the proper performance of their duties under the guidance of the Entertainment Director.
• Regular predictable attendance
• Other job related duties as assigned.
• Must be available for varied shifts, holidays and weekends and overtime.
• Must be able to contact at a working phone or pager while off property.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Requires excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure of ever changing deadlines.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with employees and guests.
• Working knowledge of computers; theatrical techniques & lighting; basic carpentry; rigging applications; audio applications; televisions, monitors, video recorders, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Education: High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in concert/audiovisual operation
• Certificate/License: None required.
