We are seeking an intern who can dream, design, prototype, implement, and test novel Augmented, Mixed & Virtual Reality Interactive Real-Time 3D experiences for the next generation of professional Design > Build > Make applications.
As a research intern, located in our San Francisco office, you will be part of a distributed & agile team developing prototypes for new and existing software to enhance user experiences and create new ways of interacting with immersive 3D environments that improve efficiency and productivity of current workflows.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the team, including other interns
• Given requirements, develop high-level software designs and prototypes
• Work with AR/VR software & hardware, such as iOS devices with Apple ARKit, Android devices with Google ARCore, Magic Leap, HTC Vive, etc.
• Communicate research, progress, and results
• Write clean, well-documented code
Minimum Qualifications
• Full-time student pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline degree at an accredited program in the United States with at least one academic term to complete post internship to be eligible for internship participation
• Strong communication skills - you need to have the ability to talk to multiple types of audiences ranging from managers, UX designers, and software development folks
• Solid programming skills in C#, Python, JavaScript
• Experience with Unity 3D application development, including asset integration
• Experience with mobile development & deployment (IOS, Android, Web)
• Experience with Apple ARKit or Google ARCore SDKs a plus
• Bonus: Autodesk FORGE developer experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing XR applications with Unity 3D
• Experience implementing mobile AR applications

Internships @ Autodesk
Our summer internship program runs for ten to twelve weeks from June–August 2019. We start interviewing in January and continue to on a rolling basis. We accept online applications through March but prioritize early submissions. Each internship project is assigned to a university recruiter who will review your qualifications. You may be considered for other roles that you didn’t directly apply for.
Our Autodesk interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in location-based intern events such as tech talks, design nights, mentoring, networking with leadership, baseball games, bowling, amusement parks and more.
