Executive Assistant -Nickelodeon Velocity
Overview and Responsibilities
As part of the Viacom Velocity team, Nickelodeon Velocity (NV) is the recognized global leader in the Kids & Family space, a distinguished team of youth culture experts, thought leaders, and content creators dedicated to making the world a more playful place. We develop industry-leading custom marketing campaigns, leveraging the network’s shows and characters for advertising clients.
The NV team is looking for an Executive Assistant who is a Nickelodeon fan first and who thrives in a fast-paced, creative and detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of executive support tasks and work diligently under pressure. The core responsibilities will be administrative duties and candidates must be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
The role primarily reports into the Nickelodeon Velocity Senior Vice President and will also provide support for the Vice President of Strategic Planning & Operations.
Responsibilities
• Support Senior Vice President with daily administrative tasks including but not limited to: maintaining calendars, scheduling and preparing for meetings, booking travel and expenses
• Coordinate high-level meetings, including sending invitations, reserving rooms, working with tech support, taking and sending recap notes
• Create, maintain and distribute department-wide status documents and lists
• Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications
• Passion for the Nickelodeon brand is a must
• 3+ years of experience in an administrative assistant role
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and PowerPoint
Additional Qualifications
• An ability to work in a fast-moving environment; flexible and adaptable to change
• An ability to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization, particularly at senior levels
• A willingness to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues or information
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task, with great follow up skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Works well under pressure
• A problem solver, who also has the ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they become larger issues
