Job Description
Responsibilities:
WVEC-TV is seeking a Part-Time Master Control Operator. The successful candidate will be required to understand the station Master Control and content ingest systems. As well as be able to evaluate and edit the station playlist via automation software assuring all programming and commercial content is entered correctly for playback. Prior experience preferred. However, entry level candidates will be considered. Job specific training will be provided. This position requires a high priority on flexibility and teamwork.
Job Requirements
Here's what you need:
• College graduate with equivalent experience and training preferred.
• A working knowledge of all aspects of broadcast television and master control equipment (Digital disc recording, tape machines, file transfers between sources and formats. etc.)
• Computer literates (MS products & Database software)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic understanding of television broadcast terminology
• Ability to do basic troubleshooting
• Ability to read and understand signal monitoring equipment
• Ability to identify problems before they affect the on air product
• Able to remain focused while multi-talking and forward-thinking
• Work well under pressure and time constraints
You must be prepared to work weekends from 12-24 hours per week, as well as holidays. Occasional weekday hours will be offered for team vacation coverage. Minimal overnight hours could be needed with this position.
