Overview
The Planning Analyst is a key support member of Canon USA’s Corporate Planning Division. The qualified applicant will provide administrative, research & analysis, and project management support to the division’s primary activities: Strategic Planning, Business Incubation and Market Research and Corporate Development (Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Venture Capital).

Responsibilities:
• Conduct research and analysis to support the Corporate Planning Divisionat the direction of Division management. This may include market research for a specific business, deep dive into an industry, or a specific company of interest including start-ups. These efforts will include the development of presentations and other communications to be delivered to business unit management and company executives.
• Support of project team meetings and larger project-related events (kickoffs, reporting sessions, etc.). This may include: scheduling and coordination of team activities and meetings; tracking of key team documents and deliverables; and the collection and management of data in support of team activities.
• Contribute to the development of discussion materials and presentations for executive level meetings.
• Support the identification and evaluation of an opportunityfor expansion into new markets (territories, customer segments, distribution channels, etc.) through analysis. Prepare detailed analyses for business unit managers as well as summary presentations for executive management, to include: Evaluation of market potential (size, growth projections, etc.); analysis of incumbent firms; evaluation of barriers to entry, customer requirements, etc.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
• A Bachelors Degree is required.
• 0 - 1 year experience.
• Detail oriented, with strong organization skills.
• Must have excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills, as well as relationship building abilities, and creativity.
• Independently motivated and able to support multiple projects
• Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• High level of Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Microsoft Project is a plus.
• Successful candidates must be flexible for some minimal travel
