Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and Director in providing leadership within the Ride Operations, Park Services, Aquatics, Admissions, and Guest Services departments, to ensure delivery of a world class entertainment experience to our guests through friendly, clean, fast, and safe service.
Job Duties:
• Monitors the day-to-day operation of Park Operations Division; ensuring departmental and park goals are achieved
• Provides supervision, training, development, and evaluation for seasonal supervisors and teams
• Ensures teams are proactively guest friendly and that guest-first standards are followed and enforced
• Handles guest concerns and responds to guest comments
• Ensures that all park areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, flower beds, designated smoking areas, and patios maintain a standard of excellence for cleanliness throughout the season
• Motivates teams to provide fast service; striving to consistently achieve each ride's hourly offered throughput
• Ensures compliance with safety standards
• Ensures all training requirements and testing procedures are adhered to as set forth by Six Flags policies and procedures
• Maintains and updates ride standard operating procedures and training materials
• Responds to and oversees the coordination of ride shutdowns; serving as a liaison between Operations and Maintenance and between Six Flags and our guests
• Oversees the requests, set up, and testing of season pass and ticket PLUs
• Troubleshoot cash registers and season pass processing equipment
• Posess skills and initiative necessary to cover Operations Team Member stations to assist during peak hours
• Works closely with Maintenance to minimize ride downtime and maximize safety and rider throughput on all rides and attractions
• Assists with budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting
• Personally provides friendly, clean, fast, and safe service for park guests
• Serves as Park Duty Manager (Unit 10) as assigned
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum two to three years supervisory experience -- preferably Operations related
• Excellent administrative skills, including organization, budget control, and time management
• Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and creative thinker
• Ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously and meet deadlines in an efficient manner
• Excellent motivational, leadership, and team-building skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed
• Must be able to report to duty as needed, with limited notice during situations such as inclement weather preparation/recovery
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk the park on a continual basis, with ocaasional bending or kneeling
• Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech
• Ability to lift and carries up to 60 pounds; occasionaly carry up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level
• Valid driver's license with a clear driving record
• Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, a variety of equipment (company vehicles, cleaning equipment, etc.)
• High School diploma required and some college preferred
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is generally moderate to high.
