Job Summary: The person in this position assists clients and staff to resolve issues effectively, works to understand client business functions and requirements, develops and maintains the client chosen solutions, provides expert technical and system design expertise, and maintains a focused, productive effort in a rapidly shifting environment marked by growth in the company, its products, and the supported information service technologies
Essential Job Functions:
• Works to understand client business functions and requirements, develops alternate solutions to meet those requirements, and implement client chosen solutions that require information services expertise
• Assists customers to resolve any issues; such as running reports, calculating data, debugging programs, answering questions and determining objects and source levels
• Assigns work to team members
• Displays significant expertise in the use of all current programming skills, techniques, methodologies, tools and department or corporate standards utilized in the current software operating environments
• Provides expert technical, system design, current systems knowledge, and product quality abilities to a Bally Technologies’ staff during all phases of a project
• Keeps informed of Bally’s new products and services. Attend training to expand knowledge
• Makes documentation and enter knowledge base entries. Work with development and other departments for best solutions
• As necessary, performs procedures and other technical assistance for billable work
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Training and/or Experience:
• Application support experience including data analysis, manipulation
• Knowledge of SQL Server 2005, 2008
• Java programming experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Flexibility and positive attitude a must
• Knowledge of casino operations
• Superior communication skills required
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in technology field or related experience
