The Director of Acquisition Marketing is responsible for the development of the overall general market direct and mass marketing plans and all associated marketing programs to achieve budgeted sales, penetration, revenue and cash flow goals. Monitors and modifies plan to ensure all product goals are met. Integrates plans across footprint and develops testing strategy for offers, creative, positioning and segmentation, including behavioral marketing, to garnish maximum sales. Works with Product Management, Programming, Sales and Research groups to define digital products/offers and market them to customers and non-customers. Works with advertising agencies to define acquisition strategy, introduce new products, develop advertising programs and address competitive presence in the footprint. Oversees direct marketing agency and email vendor relationships for the department. Ensures timely and accurate implementation of marketing tactics and sales materials by managing the execution of campaigns, projects and programs. Responsible for timely delivery and quality of deliverables and that the creative supports the marketing objectives and strategies. Maintains fiscal responsibility of the marketing budget.
This individual will have between 3-5 direct reports and will report directly into the VP, Marketing and Creative Services.
• Drive growth through innovative and efficient marketing performance.
• Develop and manage strategic marketing programs in support of product objectives including positioning, acquisition, segmentation, revenue enhancement, advertising, promotions and collateral.
• Identify opportunities and develop and manage communications plans that achieve or surpass established product goals and objectives.
• Develop marketing programs designed to maximize opportunities within all internal and external sales channels including, but not limited to direct mail, email, DRTV, print, radio, search, interactive, outbound telemarketing
• Implement segmentation models based on behavior to improve overall performance through appropriate targeted positioning and offers.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
• 6-12 years marketing experience with an established record of success.
• Cable TV experience preferred or extensive experience in a high-tech or communications company and an exceptional technical understanding of product.
• Experience participating in and managing cross-functional teams.
• Project management skills
• Consumer advertising and direct marketing experience required.
• Managerial experience with budget responsibility.
• Ability to travel from one location to another as needed
