Account Director - SHAPE
I. Job Summary
| Major goals and objectives.
The Account Director sells advertising space within an assigned territory and accounts with a major focus on pharma, beauty, and packaged goods. This position will be the face of SHAPE for the magazine and will help develop the go to market strategy. The Account Director will work with marketing and sales management to build and manage sales presentations and programs. This seller will interact extensively with agency and client personnel as well as additional members of the magazine and Meredith sales team. The Account Director maintains and improves share-of-market for the magazine and maximizes profitability, and works with clients and agencies at the highest level.

Sells advertising space via in-person meetings and telephone calls to assigned clients and agencies within sales territory. Utilizes visual presentations, research reports and special sales data in personal contact sales to individuals and/or groups.

Research macro market and account specific challenges, needs and business initiatives in an effort to better position magazine assets and audience as solutions that these accounts should invest in.

Tracks share of market within the women’s service field of assigned accounts on a monthly basis.

Provides management with timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual budget forecasts.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
At least 5 years sales experience, preferably in magazines, newspapers and other digital mediums.

Must have valid driver’s license as some accounts are located outside of NYC.
