THE ROLE:
We currently have a need for an intern to assist the PR department with daily administrative duties as listed below along with meeting with the team and attending company meetings to get to know more about public relations and the culture and professionalism of working in an entertainment/business environment
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Creating niche press lists that could be used to blast important press releases and materials to the right contacts in addition to making necessary edits to current press lists so they remain up to date.
• Reviewing and watching screeners of our programming to familiarize him or herself with what our network is promoting.
• Taking care of any PR needs while the team travels to cover Comic Con and TCA and any other press appearances over the summer
• Formatting and sending daily press clips to top executives and internal teams along with pulling tv apperances, scene pulls and drafting possible pitches
• Assisting with any other administrative PR duties (411 submission, uploading photos and assets to press site and approving press contacts, booking talent travel and creating itineraries, etc)
• If the intern is interested in any one specific area or task, assisting him or her in learning more about it so they can grow and learn through the program
YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS]
• Rising junior, senior student currently enrolled at an accredited college/
university and legally eligible to work in the U.S. may apply.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media are strongly preferred
• Professionalism, time-efficiency, organization and coordination of tasks plus attention to detail, inquisitive (asks questions to better understand the responsibilities of PR), prior knowledge of the tools we use (ie Muckrack, TVEyes, Cision) or a strong interest in the job is strongly encouraged but not required, strong written and verbal
communication skills and drive to take initiative
