Job Title
Database Marketing Systems Analyst
Overall System Infrastructure:
• Provide reliable and functional computer systems in support of database marketing activities. Assist in gathering user requirements and developing project plans. Develop and test applications. Review source code and tests to assure quality and precision of work. Recommend and design efficiency improvements. Ensure documentation for all departmental systems and procedures are current and effective. Ensure analytic software on department servers and personal computers are up-to-date and meet user needs. Collaborate with ETL team on database projects that impact Database Research.
Database Marketing projects:
• Extract and manipulate data from large and complex data structures from varying sources in support of analytic projects such as regression models, profiles and ad-hoc requests. Work with internal marketing departments, external clients and Database Marketing Managers to understand project goals and objectives. Document objectives and design solutions for ad-hoc requests. Provide custom programming and execution as needed. Work independently on routine assignments. Receive instruction and guidance on more complex assignments.
Personal Development:
• Develop technical and business skills. Stay abreast of emerging technologies. Obtain in-depth knowledge of database data model, data contents and use of tools and software that access data warehouse.
Leadership:
• Assist with leadership and support of the team. Assist with training of less experienced team members. Review other team members’ work to ensure quality and accuracy. Serve as a mentor to less experienced team members. Serve as a resource for technical questions.
