Purpose of the position: The Sales Intelligence Analyst role assists in producing deep insights about our customers using data sources related to our transactional business. This role helps to support the health of our reseller customer portfolios using trending analysis and other means to understand new business and renewal trends, migrations of hospital or physician facilities from one Electronic Hospital Record (EHR) provider to another, and more. The analyst should be experienced working directly with large volumes of data to verify and accelerate accurate reseller invoices (based on contractually agreed-upon terms). This includes interpreting a high volume of customer purchase orders for entry within our customer management system, order entry, entitlement and invoicing system with precision. This individual would be required to thrive within a fast-paced, often-changing sales environment without losing focus on priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate organizational abilities, with strong attention to detail, and good problem solving and follow-up skills.
Organizational Overview: The Clinical Solutions Division of Elsevier uses its industry-leading intellectual property and content to create Clinical and Drug Reference, Patient Engagement, Performance Management, Workflow and Decision Support products for healthcare professionals across a range of practice settings and commercial organizations. These products and tools aid in disease management, medication error reductions, workflow improvements, effective patient management and economic analysis and cost control.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Is a part of the Elsevier Sales Operations team interpreting customer contracts and purchase orders to accelerate accurate invoicing while also keeping a pulse on reseller customer transaction trends.
Conduct time based analysis on micro and macro trends of EMR based switching, identifying potential revenue growth or decline to the business.
Ability to provide periodic reviews of Competitive Intelligence based off of information supplied by partner sales reports.
Partner with the Elsevier Business Intelligence and Reporting team on enhancing sales partner reporting and helps with the building of an internal streamlined knowledge database.
Responsible for ensuring up-to-the minute accurate sales and/or quantitative information is entered in the appropriate database or tracking sheet.
Review reseller periodic sales reports and enter the details of the reports into the order entry system to enable accurate invoicing to reseller partners.
Deliver periodic reporting and analysis on Sales KPIs for Management reporting.
Perform ad hoc analysis as required in support of Sales Organization.
Display high attention to detail and desire to produce accurate, detailed and quality work.
Ability to analyze and recognize potential sales obstacles and recommend solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience within a sales analysis role or similar role required.
Contracts and/or Proposal experience, ideally in a large sales organization or similar working experience.
Knowledge of sales, financial and/or contracting process, ideally with IT related products.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Accounting or finance acumen Preferred.
CRM system data entry experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required.
Possess strong organizational skills to provide timely and consistent support
