As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic partner to the business by embedding corporate HR strategy into day-to-day work and providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal client groups with the objective of adding value to the business.
Human Resources professionals play an important role in our business and our culture. We are currently adding capacity to our organization to more fully support our internal businesses. One of our open positions is to support our Consumer Electronics Development Engineering organization, located in Framingham, MA. This role will work in partnership with a senior business partner to provide support to multiple engineering disciplines .
Main responsibilities:
• Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, culture, structures, and processes
• Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function or business strategy
• Aligning business objectives with employees and leadership in designated business unit(s)
• Strategic HR advisor to senior leadership and management. Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture.
• Facilitate long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda.
• Assist business unit leaders in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards.
• Develop and promote ongoing feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
• Provide expert advice and coaching to employees when appropriate
• Understand and solicit employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns.
• Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR initiatives.
• Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement. Foster strong collaborative HRBP community; cross divisional collaboration
• Act as a liaison between the business and HR functional areas to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs.
• Identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business.
• Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends
Key competencies and experiences we are looking for
• 5-7 years of Human Resource Business Partner experience
• Experience supporting engineering organizations
• Substantial business acumen
• Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy
• Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy
• Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy
• Ability to collect and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to recognize trends and develop recommendations based on data analysis
• Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
• Effective team player and networker
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills
• Significant knowledge of HR practices and talent management practices
