Manager of Original Programming
We are seeking a Manager of Original Programming to develop new shows in line with Starz brand and manage the day-to-day creative functions of current shows on air. Attract character driven, a-list properties that grow the Starz audience base. Work with Original Programming department to oversee both creative and administrative aspects of all assigned shows from development to completion, and ensure all materials and information are disseminated to appropriate internal and external teams to ensure successful show launches and that delivery and ratings goals are met.
Work with Original Programming department to oversee all aspects of creative development and show execution including principle staff, casting, showrunners, script development, notes process, pre and post production and final show delivery. Work closely with production management group during development, production and post – gather information and forge strong working relationships with show and production talent to ensure a smooth and seamless operation yield strong results.
• Manage Originals and Co-Productions by providing notes/feedback on scripts, cuts, VFX, production design
◦ Support executives as needed
• Participate in development meetings and help manage implementation of notes and feedback as project moves from idea to final series concept
• Liaison between internal departments to communicate and manage information flow for all applicable projects with counterparts in Digital, Marketing, PR, Consumer Products and Creative Services
• Works closely with showrunners, writers, producers and production companies to ensure original programs in production meet established budgets and schedules
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies, English or related required
• 4+ years of scripted television development experience
• 2+ years of experience at a studio, network or related
• Must have experience managing databases, project management tools, etc.
• Software skills: Airtable, Googledocs, Excel, etc
