Overview
Collector I Sundry handles collection of end of term, sundry, and late fees income. They are knowledgeable in account reconciliations and making payment arrangements. They have firm understanding of collection practices, leases acumen and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Manage collection activity on disposed and inventoried contracts that have open unpaid charges including collecting amounts remaining unpaid and/or making necessary adjustments to contracts when charges are deemed invalid. Collect any other past due charges on active contracts related to disposed and inventoried contracts.
• Provide excellent customer service regarding collection issues
• Generate daily phone calls within department goals as established by management.
• Maintain call quality standards as established by management including monthly review and acknowledgment of all monitored calls.
• Ensure proper cash posting for monies received on assigned portfolio including review and posting of unapplied cash. .
• Assess team strategy for collection of fee income and portfolio clean up. Make recommendations to management for solutions to improve overall efficiencies and increase fee income collection.
• Develop and/or revise department owned business rules as assigned and/or necessary.
• Partner with internal and external parties (dealers, customer service, collections, legal, credit etc) as necessary to resolve customer issues.
• Ensure SLAs between CFS and CSA are met for the collection of final meter reads. Make recommendations to management for areas which may need improvement.
• Participate in special projects, focus groups, testing and training as assigned by management.
• Utilize all tools and systems to delinquent unpaid charges and cure delinquency within company policy and assigned authorities.
• Escalating calls to highest authority in addition to utilizing all collection tools available.
• Can conduct payment arrangements, settlements, restructures, repossessions as necessary.
• Perform detailed skip tracing as necessary.
• Review account for discrepancies and adjustments, resolve client issues and identify misapplications and short payments.
• Resolves complex customer issues that inhibit payments.
• Implement and administer several payment methods.
• Maintain a collection queue effectively within assigned parameters for target dates and goals.
Qualifications
Education Required: Requires a bachelor's degree and/or minimum 1 years commercial collections experience in a high volume leasing and/or business to business environment
Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures
Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience a plus
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
