Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the environmental,
industrial health and safety regulations. Handles coordination of all
environmental, safety compliance programs and conducts environmental
safety inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and
prevailing professional practices. Ensures that actions are taken to
correct deficiencies or violations of standards, investigates employee
complaints and suggestions regarding hazardous conditions, maintains
site health and safety records, manages support contracts, and
interfaces with federal, state, and local regulatory officials. Provides
leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes
to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets
business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with
this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals.
Core Responsibilities:
• Leads the efforts of the NED Sustainability Council with a goal of reducing the Division's impact on the environment, i.e. Energy Efficiency and Solar.
• Ensure that the Division is compliant with: RCRA and local waste laws, EPCRA and SPCC regulations, and Comcast National Recycling Program
• Ensure prompt action on environmental audit findings.
• Leads the efforts of the NED Safety Council with a goal of reducing vehicle accidents, falls from height and bodily motion injuries.
• Lead recognition program for techs ('Get Home Safe')
• Partner with TechOps to reduce motor vehicle accidents through Distracted Driver/DriveSafe programs.
• Perform ergonomic assessments and field training. Provide coaching for high-risk employees.
• Promote proper industrial hygiene and ensure healthy air quality in facilities.
• Ensure full compliance with FCC regulations specific to Public Files, Signal Leakage and Flyovers.
• Ensures the efficient and safe operation of facility and equipment by
directing, developing and managing strategic plans for the office
facilities to ensure the office/facilities are well maintained and up to
code, facilities are fully secured, office equipment is fully
operational, office services are implemented in a timely manner and meet
the needs of the customers.
• Leads the planning and procurement of capital expenditures and
projects to include business case development, vendor sourcing,
selection, negotiation, and management processes in order to ensure
alignment of capital expenditures with operating opportunities,
requirements, and fiscal responsibility.
• Develops plans to meet unexpected situations, new developments, and
changes in the business environment.
• Prepares for emergencies; anticipates events; understands the factors
and conditions affecting the organization and responds appropriately
when these change.
• Plans and use resources economically; prepares accurate budgets and
monitors expenditures; develops appropriate informational resources and
safeguards their use; procures, stores and distributes material
economically and efficiently; ensures efficient maintenance and
operation of facilities and equipment to meet the needs of users.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters
of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Job Specification:
