This position is responsible for managing the engineering and implementation of the Business Services platforms (including machine to machine/IoT services) for business sales channel. This position will collaborate with the business sales channel and interact frequently with business customers to define, engineer and deploy wireless solutions. The role is responsible for engineering services for our wireless customers. This role will lead interaction with partner organizations/departments to architect network or system solutions for our customer servicing infrastructure. This leader is responsible for the deployment of customer servicing application delivery projects. This role will participate in the capacity and performance management of these platforms as well as interface with vendors to establish SLAs. Additionally, this position will assess the engineering and implementation requirements of new customer facing services to ensure proper organizational engagements and understanding within Engineering.
• Lead a team of service engineers to engineer and implement USCC’s customer data servicing infrastructure. This includes both consumer and business customers; subject matter experts that drive network evolution, stability, and issue resolution.
• Direct new product/service introduction, including partnering with vendors to provide key services and provide engineering and operations leadership relative to engineering solutions for enterprise customers in the area of machine-to-machine/IoT services (e.g. GRE/vTI, L2TP/LNS services, static/dynamic IP services, SMART city)
• Develop and manage the capital and operating budgets in excess of $5M and support planning through Launch phases of any service that resides on either an owned platform or is a customer facing service that uses our wireless network.
• Partner with Architecture team to implement new architecture, design, product trials and validations. Oversee the integration, service commission, and production readiness of new systems or services deployment
• Lead interaction with partner organizations and departments to architect customer facing network/system solutions, and develops and reviews effective test plans. Provide training on relevant services to internal teams, as well as customer service organizations
• Define and manage service monitoring agreements and platform capacity, and ensure team adheres to capacity guidelines and maintains adequate build ahead for customer traffic growth
• Develop a lab environment to ensure that solutions are fully tested and documented and development of a full suite of documentation for all B2B/IOT services (engineering work plans, standards, policies and procedures)
• Establish and maintain key relationships with partner organizations, with a special emphasis on the Mobile Core Operations team, Operations, Information Systems, Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Provisioning Teams.
• Manage effective issue identification, resolution processes and participate in advanced tier troubleshooting, off-hour maintenance activities and problem resolution during critical customer services disruptions/outages.

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 8 years’ experience; or equivalent work or military experience
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the wireless industry and 5 years of previous managerial experience leading large and technically diverse teams.
• Strong working knowledge of end to end wireless data networks, concepts, protocols, vendors, and industry trends in legacy and next generation cellular data networks
• Strong project management experience with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks required and managing multimillion budgets
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems and applications
• Strong change management skills and ability to build cross-functional team
• Excellent verbal, written, and large-group presentation skills are required
• Travel required
