Job Description
Show Me St. Louis has an immediate opening for a talented Senior Producer.
The Senior Producer develops a live show including sponsored segments. This person should have a passion for producing, a creative mind for presentation, an eye for detail, and know how to bring a show idea/concept to life across multiple platforms in collaboration with others.
• The Senior Producer sets the vision for story selection, flow, moments for the cast members to interact, conversational writing in scripts, scripts that offer context and depth.
• Establishes and communicates the on-air vision and manages the LIVE show presentation approach daily.
• Regularly meets with advertiser clients and guests to gather information on the competitive advantage and unique selling points of their services/ products.
• Leads/Guides the efforts of the Producer, ensuring the daily show delivers content aimed at the target consumer.
• Leads/Guides the efforts of the Associate Producer, ensuring consistent branding of the show across all platforms.
• Develops effective content and manages the delivery and approval of all creative assets to produce exciting TV presentations.
• Maintain a vision for maximizing business opportunities and supporting content on social and digital platforms in partnership with associate producer.
• Maintains a vision for maximizing business opportunities on across all platforms in partnership with sales team.
• Provide feedback to reporters, photojournalists and producers routinely to develop the team.
• Is an excellent planner and must be good at working with a team of producers, MSJ's, photojournalists, and engineers -all with a great attitude.
• Line producing and creative writing are mandatory skills.
Job Requirements
• College degree with minimum five years' producing experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervising experience – leading people
• Proven creative ability in television producing
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must maintain professional relationships at various levels and cross-functionally within the organization
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Works well individually and as part of a team
• Experience working with multiple content platforms
