Field Operations Intern Program
The Summer Field Operations Intern Program is open for dedicated and hardworking students. The goal of the Spectrum Field Operations Intern Program is to provide current students with exposure to a real-life business setting, while giving them the opportunity to learn about our industry. Spectrum provides an atmosphere that is intended to broaden an entry level candidate’s professional understanding while promoting self-confidence, accomplishment, and career development.
The program is 10 weeks in length. Date range is approx. May 28th-Aug 2nd.
Summary of Projects:
• Support special project(s) focused on employee engagement
• Coordinate on site events for employees
• Assist with various presentation decks for HR programs and initiatives
• Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timelines and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information.
• Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
• Improved employee morale through incentives – work with HR team to plan and assist in monthly employee activities
• Conduct research and present emerging trends in the workplace
• Decreased new hire turnover between 90-180 days
• Career development playbook
• Support tasks/projects aligned with the establishment of the Charter’s diversity council and employee resource groups
• Assist in creating a consistent new hire employee focus group
• Support continued rollout and tracking of the apprentice program
• Support all outreach activities and help identify new potential partnerships
• Work with recruiters to help prescreen potential candidates
• Monitor onboarding reports and follow up when necessary
• Use new technologies such as Montage and TextRecruit to engage with potential applicants
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Completing a summer project assigned by respective department and/or functional area
• Working with fellow interns on a cross-functional group project
• Attending internship development activities as scheduled
• Ability to commit to a full time work schedule (40 hours/week) for the length of the program
• Performing other duties as assigned
Skills required for program:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university
• Rising Junior (current sophomore) and above
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Access)
Rising Junior or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.0
