JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and administering various scheduling, tracking, reporting, execution of cross-functional tactic communication functions within residential and business Corporate Marketing.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience in both the residential and business areas.
• Maintain and publish customer communications marketing calendar, incorporating statement, e-mail, web, direct mail and associated tactics.
• Support execution of marketing tactics for Ad Hoc Communications, Project Management and Operations programs
• Compile, publish, and present data for all lines of business (video, Internet, phone with tracking of programs against budget and highlighting variations and trends).
• Support teams with creation of presentations, communications plans for marketing initiatives.
• Work with Charter cross-functional groups and outside sources for research and compile information to make recommendations for build of communications programs
• Maintain Marketing Communications historical data base
• Proof of materials, update databases, for packaging, rates and programming
• Create POs and track expenses
• Assist with special projects that may be assigned, as well as other administrative functions.
• Perform other duties as requested by Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to work well independently, as well as in cross-functional groups
• Ability to use discretion and independent judgement to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, database queries)
• Knowledge of direct marketing strategies, tactics, and processes
• Strong analytical skills
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field and/or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience
• Marketing and/or Advertising experience; 2 – 3 years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
• Knowledge of cable television products and services.
