We have an immediate opening for an HR Business Partner on the West Coast. We are looking for an individual to support the Senior HRBP and drive the business strategy forward using tools such as proactive organizational and talent management, performance management, employee relations, and leadership coaching. This role will act as the day-to-day resource for employees in the San Francisco and Los Angeles office.
The HR Business Partner will lead by example in demonstrating our company’s values - Care Deeply, Be Brave, Go First, Do Good, Stay Close and Win Together.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with Senior HRBP as well as senior leaders to design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic planning, visioning, change management and team building
• Be a trusted advisor and the primary point of contact for day-to-day questions and issues that arise in the Los Angeles and San Francisco office
• Provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner.
• Act as a respected and trustworthy resource to employees at every level of the company, with respect to issues including communication, management, performance, career development and respect in the workplace.
• Partner with Senior HRBP in handling employee relations matters that arise with the highest profession standards, providing counseling and coaching to managers and staff and ensuring an expedited and effective escalation and resolution as appropriate
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and nimble business environment
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years professional Human Resources experience
• Some knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies
• Relevant experience at a start-up or digital media company, preferred
• Experience at a multistate HR-focused company, preferred
• Upbeat, highly collaborative and solution oriented, preferred
