Job Description
Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas opened on April 28, 2005 and was once again named the best resort in Nevada on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 “Gold List,” a title received for the tenth time. Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.
The Doorman/Security officer is responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees while simultaneously providing superior guest service consistent with Forbes 5 Star Standard rating. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Wynn company policy and procedure.
Job Specific Duties:
*Safe guard company property
*Manage large crowds
*Be observant of possible criminal activities, advising management and/or local law enforcement
*Provide medical assistance/life saving skills as needed, including but not limited to pool rescue
*Ensure property identification and age verification of guests in restricted areas
*Work and communicate clearly with staff in multiple departments
*Troubleshoot potential problems, seeking resolution discreetly and professionally
*Flexibility to perform other job related tasks as deemed necessary by management
*Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies
Job Requirements
*Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers
*Must consistently maintain a well groomed appearance and hygiene
*Willing to work in a loud and smoke filled environment
*Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
*Must be 21 years of age or over
*The ability to work within a team environment
*Must be available to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing and Grave shift
*Minimum three years in the hotel/casino industry preferred, but not required
*Working knowledge of basic gaming regulations is preferred, but not required
