Hearst Digital Media is seeking a Senior Manager, Insights & Analytics. The candidate will act as dedicated insights partner to sales, marketing and ad operations and will be responsible for developing insights, primarily related to the performance of custom content programs, based on regular and ad hoc analyses of data collected by HDM proprietary measurement or 3rd party partners. This position will also manage one insights team member, overseeing their professional development and day to day operations. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years analytics, research and insights experience, preferably at a digital publishing company.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop performance reports around custom content ad campaigns by aggregating and analyzing data from multiple, disparate sources to tell a holistic story of campaign performance. Partnering cross-functionally with various teams at HDM that manage various data sources/vendor relationships, particularly the ad operations team and social ignition teams.
• Work closely with project managers, ad operations team and social ignition teams to understand campaign elements and performance throughout the campaign. Clearly communicate standards for measurement and performing to guide transparent presentation of performance to internal clients, and ultimately, advertisers.
• Develop insights around campaign data to create a succinct presentation of results for clients
• Present to internal stakeholders and clients
• Assist with other projects in the Research and Insights Department such as ad effectiveness studies, market insights, data structuring/organization, developing insights from our first party data, etc.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years analytics, research or insights experience
• Must be a self-starter and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to extrapolate insights from data, provide valuable and actionable findings, and package to be client friendly
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, and is comfortable interfacing with internal and external clients
• Work well across departments
• Proficient in Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint
• Must be resourceful and solutions focused with experience in adapting to an evolving measurement landscape of emerging platforms and new/enhanced tech capabilities.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills (manage to multiple deadlines)
