We have an exciting opportunity as the Director of Category and Sales Management within our Global Consumer Sales organization.
Our group strives to be the top-rated supplier to our retail customers in delivery of Innovation, Business Planning and Marketplace Excellence, and we are now looking for an experienced sales leader.
In this role, you will establish strategic reseller priorities and category activation plans for all our Bose product categories. You will play a critical role in bringing the voice of our resellers, and direct channels into Bose, and be the voice of Bose to Resellers.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO
Sales Strategy and Strategic Revenue Management
: Create category sales strategy, initiatives and 4P business plans required to deliver overall category expectations. Define overall execution playbook that reflects major market, channel and reseller needs, with the goal to grow revenue, Bose share and contribution margin.
Business Plan Sufficiency: Ensure that the sales theaters, resellers and Bose direct channels have plans that will deliver business plan sufficiency. This includes delivering the appropriate revenue and contribution margin forecast.
Initiative and Portfolio Management: Develop plans to maximize the results of our initiatives and our total portfolio. Lead sales involvement in major product launches to improve sell-in and sell-thru with new processes that integrate and secure input and support earlier. Collaborates with marketing, sales, reseller marketing to deliver an external view of category management platforms. For global, this includes upstream work on initiatives to ensure they will delight the shopper and reseller. For sales theaters, it includes plans such as differentiation and portfolio rationalization/variation to drive speed to market and reflect channel and market differences.
Commercial Innovation: This includes overall innovation work -- driving joint value creation -- and new capabilities to deliver this. Develop plans that contribute to category growth for our resellers and create motivating shopper experiences. This includes both “sustaining innovation” as well as “disruptive innovation.” Lastly, lead the development of category sales innovation on how to win in-store and on-line through new test & learn capabilities.

YOU HAVE DONE IT BEFORE
You have at least fifteen years of experience from various selling roles across customers, distributors, channels and global markets.
You have proven results in advanced sales strategy development and category management execution.
You have advanced reseller relations capability and you have experience from end-to-end business operations management.
You hae a bachelor’s degree in business management or similar.
You can work out of our Framingham, MA facility, with business travel required. (Relocation assistance is provided, as necessary.)
