We currently have an opening for aManager, Physical Security and Investigations. This position will be in Burbank, CA.
SUMMARY:
Manager, Physical Security and Investigations
will serve as the principal physical security advisor and will develop, plan, and direct policies and physical security programs to help control risk, prevent losses and protect the personnel and assets of Deluxe worldwide, as well as directing all physical security activities and all security-related investigations across the organization. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining physical security processes, communication and tools based on industry standard best practice. This experienced physical security professional will report to the Senior Director of Security and Compliance and be part of the global security office under the CISO. The position will work closely with Legal, HR, Health and Safety and Security Point of Contacts (SPOCs).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads and develops overall Physical Security Strategy and Planning practice.
• Collaborates with facility mangers to develop and implement facility physical security best practices.
• Leads and develops all Physical Security Threat Management activities included employee protection and protection of traveling employees and associates worldwide.
• Ability to lead and respond to extreme physical security threats such as kidnap and active shooter scenarios
• Identifies corresponding tactics and long-term road maps
• Articulate and leads annual planning cycle for Physical Security domain.
• Research industry trends, introduce and transition new technology into the organization including emergency response systems, access control systems and international travel safety awareness and alerting systems.
• Partner with Health and Safety to ensure end-to-end integrity of physical security solutions and implications are well understood and risks mitigated.
• Provide corresponding physical security reviews.
• Set up, maintain and chair Emergency Action Committees globally and assist in creating and implementing physical security procedures in accordance with corporate policies, regulations, directives and operating procedures.
• Maintain an incident/crisis management plan that provides for the appropriate response to incidents that threaten or may threaten corporate operations, assets, or personnel; the plan will include the procedures for incident reporting, incident handling and investigation.
• Continually monitor and assess global conditions that relate to potential physical threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to the enterprise.
• Share intelligence information with senior staff regarding physical security matters and maintain situational awareness regarding current operations.
• Manage Physical Security at all Domestic locations this includes but not limited to:
◦ Staff and Contract Building Security Guards
◦ Physical Security systems such as:
◦ Visitor and employee badge systems
◦ Visitor Registration Systems
◦ Building and facility security camera systems
◦ Coordinate with facilities managers on physical security of non-domestic locations
• Leads all security related investigations globally working with HR and Legal, working with local and federal law enforcement as needed.
• Drive consistency and investigative standard methodologies across the Deluxe
• Develop automation and process tool solutions to drive investigation effectiveness, quality and reporting.
• Serve as the primary investigative leader on the Global Crisis Management team
• Maintain strong Law Enforcement contacts across multiple geographies and governmental agencies primarily focused on United States but also in Europe and Asia
• Participate in intelligence sharing information security forums
• Engage and collaborate with internal legal, health and safety and human resource teams across all locations
• Perform scheduled periodic training sessions with employees, people managers, HR and Legal on various topics related to physical security.
• Participate in all Global and Regional Crisis Management teams as the lead investigative representative (including tabletop exercises)
.QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
• 10+ years prior federal, state law enforcement or military investigative experience
• 3-5 years management/leadership experience in a corporate security or law enforcement
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – Business, Criminal Justice, Law preferred
• Advanced analytical and reasoning skills required.
• Advanced skills in interviewing and conducting cross-examinations
• Must be able to multi-task and manage time and resources efficiently and effectively.
• Must be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment and maintain sensitivity to personnel and corporate concerns.
• Must be a pro-active “self-starter” able to own and drive projects and keep stakeholders apprised of status.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the Deluxe are required.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Must be available on 24x7 basis as needed, this is driven by events and circumstances
• Some Occasional Travel and possibly on short notice
