Job Summary
We are currently seeking an Assistant Buyer to join HX, Horizon Media’s programmatic department. This role supports ad-exchange media buying (including but not limited to banner, video, and mobile), on open and private exchanges to meet client DR and Brand goals. In this role you will support day-to-day trafficking, optimization and reporting across a portfolio of client accounts.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
30%- Learn to perform tasks on HX’s suite of licensed demand-side platforms (DSPs)
20%- Support the successful execution of programmatic media plans under the supervision of senior traders
15%- Create performance reports and budget-pacing documents
10%- Assure quality of new campaigns before and after launch
10%- Learn about programmatic strategy, ad operations and client service
10%- Collaborate with Horizon’s technology partners to optimize and troubleshoot campaigns
5%- Participate in group brainstorming sessions with the intention of bringing great ideas to life

Knowledge and Skills Required
• Experience working with large data sets and complex digital user interfaces
• Proficient in Excel – pivot tables, creating charts, vlookups, etc.
• An innovative thinker who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial work culture
• Education in media, marketing and communications
• Preference to work on the disruptive side of business, with new technology
• Strong interest in digital communications in general and emerging media in particular
• Experience in a highly collaborative work environment
• Self-driven to learn more about the industry and programmatic best-practices
• A team-player who can work collaboratively with our multi-faceted team (including planning and analytics) and other agency departments
