Position Overview
Manage various general accounting, analysis and reporting processes at the Company’s U.S. headquarters to ensure timely and accurate financial information in accordance with US GAAP. Key duties include leading parts of the monthly/quarterly close process, performing balance sheet account analyses, supporting annual audits, improving processes and data integrity for work flows, developing staff, creating efficiencies in department functions, and handling management requests and special projects. The position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller.
Key Job Responsibilities
Monthly Close
Manage and/or perform various general accounting procedures associated with the monthly close process such as reviewing and posting journal entries, analyzing balance-sheet accounts, preparing variance analyses and performing and/or approving account reconciliations. Perform analysis to support monthly accruals and assist in the review of financial performance including variance to budget. Lead efforts to improve processes impacting quality and efficiency of monthly close including the gathering and analyzing information to prepare accurate and key accruals and reserves. Lead efforts to analyze and explain monthly balance sheet results versus prior period, budget and prior year
Balance Account Analysis & Reconciliations
Proactively focus on producing accurate monthly financial results, maintaining proper and complete balance sheet account reconciliations, and resolving root cause of reconciling items related to process weaknesses. Lead efforts to streamline monthly reconciliation and analysis process and work collaboratively with other functions to continuously improve data flow and integrity. Perform and/or manage tasks related to supporting internal audits and annual external audit
System Support
Assist with maintaining accounting structure in Oracle general ledger and fixed asset modules, monitoring exception reports to ensure proper posting of transactions to the ledger and controlling access to system functions. Assist with the maintenance of system and process controls across all areas of accounting. Work closely with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and fixed assets personnel to optimize reporting, data transfer and analysis processes
Operational Support
Prepare various financial reports and analyses such as monthly and YTD income statement summaries, consolidating income statement files, detailed balance sheet analyses, actual versus budget analyses and year-over-year analyses. Work with other departments to obtain necessary information to support accounting entries and provide support for business decisions required accounting analysis. Handle special accounting projects as needed
Staff Development
Direct the assignments of the team. Manage performance, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing levels, and facilitate team development. Lead by example in portraying a positive and professional image. Periodically present training sessions to new staff. Responsible for HR and personnel matters relating to the team.
Required Experience:
Job Qualifications
• Bachelors and/or Masters in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Minimum of 7 – 10 years of accounting experience including a mix of public and industry background working with 500 million to 2 billion in revenue private and/or public companies
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively and to present findings / recommendations to senior management
• Advanced ability / proficient with Excel
• Extensive experience with Oracle or similar ERP software
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and time management skills
• Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple staff at different levels of knowledge and experience
• Demonstrated attention to detail and concern for quality
• Ability to complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
