JOB SUMMARY
Lead the creative development and execution of effective direct response marketing strategies and tactics for the small-and-medium-business target audience.
As our largest and most important new customer acquisition marketing channel, responsibilities include
working with internal partners and external creative agencies to improve direct response messaging and creative design as well as campaign strategy, creative testing, execution, and measurement.
Requires a successful track record managing direct mail and email campaigns from inception to completion, including post campaign analysis and subsequent optimizations to improve performance in addition to strong project management skills, and a solid understanding of marketing to small-and-medium sized businesses.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the go-to-market strategy for the SMB Direct Mail, Email, and Bill Marketing programs.
• Direct outside ad agencies to develop, coordinate and implement direct response marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with the direct marketing and database teams to recommend, develop and execute business to business direct response campaigns that are effective, on time, and on budget.
• Leverage post campaign analysis to identify campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improved messaging, segmentation, formatting and timing.
• Meet or outperform defined response targets for direct response marketing programs inclusive of acquisition and customer upgrade.
• Build, manage, and report on expense budget.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Experience developing complex, test-and-learn direct mail programs for acquisition, upgrade/cross-sell/upsell with knowledge of key performance metrics and measurement methodologies.
• Strong track record of managing agencies to develop breakthrough direct response creative concepts that increase results and conversion
• Familiarity leveraging Variable Data Printing (VDP) process to efficiently produce customized direct mail tactics.
• Ability to analyze, interpret data, and continually evolve marketing and creative strategy based on key learnings.
• Demonstrated success in driving results through creative development and testing.
• Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically.
• Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and develop recommendations autonomously.
• Ability to manage all phases of multiple projects from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy.
• Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience
