Seasonal Position - Managerial Level
Culinary Department Trainer
JOB SUMMARY:Facilitates all Culinary Services training programs, to include: Orientation, TABC, Food Handler, Leadership modules as well as On the Job training and maintains all training records for the department. .
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate the successful placement of new hires and rehires from orientation to location training through effective communication with the Culinary Management, Scheduling Team, Human Resources and the Team Member
• Promotes Guest First Standards, Total Safety Culture and Park / Departmental policies and procedures
• Motivates and maintains employees.
• Provides reporting to management to help maintain certification compliance
• Helps co-ordinate and organize International Program
• Completes random audits to ensure TABC and all other policies/procedures are being followed
• Facilitates initial Food Service Orientation and Cash Handling Training
• Coordinates the transition into the On The Job Training
• Tracks and Follows up with On The Job Training, to ensure we are aligned with proper procedures
• Understands and completes all required paperwork
• Conducts required audits on training paperwork on a yearly basis.
• Facilitates various retail trainings; i.e. TABC class, Food Handler Certifications and helps with Leadership Training
• Acquires and maintains TABC certification, Food Safety Manager Certification
REPORTING STRUCTURE:Culinary Services Manager, Culinary Services Full Time Team
IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST POSESS:
• Strong public speaking / facilitation skills preferred
• Requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines in a demanding, fast paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be detail oriented, highly motivated and a self starter
• High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must be able to acquire and maintain Food Safety Manager and TABC certifications
• Previous experience in Culinary, Merchandise, or Games a Plus
• A strong sense of teamwork and a positive attitude
• Willingness to cross train into other departments and work in such departments as needed during short staffing periods.
