Horizon Next Digital Activation (Media Planning/Strategy) Summer Internship
Job Description:
We are looking to hire a Summer Intern to work within Horizon Next, our performance marketing division, supporting our Digital team. Our Summer Internship Program is designed to be very hands on and educational. Our interns work as a member of the team and get as involved as much as possible throughout their internship. As an intern, you will get full exposure to our business, work product and people.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
In the Digital Department you will work with the team to develop the strategy, planning and ultimately activation of media campaigns across a variety of clients. Our digital team works as cross-channel strategists and planners across all digital channels, including social and mobile.
Over the summer, Interns will be involved in:
30% Media Planning and Strategy
• Learning the digital media planning process
• Researching competitive reviews and helping with Nielsen research
• Constructing digital strategy and point-of-view analysis of media opportunities
• Providing media/landscape intelligence to grow client’s knowledge base
50% Campaign Management & Maintenance
• Helping with campaign launches and maintenance
• Assisting in campaign launches with campaign management teams
• Handling creative assets and media trafficking
20% Reporting
• Documenting meetings and action items via conference reports
• Pulling reports and monitoring activity
• Assembling reporting and screenshots for clients
Knowledge and Skills Required
Excellent math skills, writing skills and experience in Excel are a must. Courses in media, advertising, communications, marketing, and business are preferred. Previous internships in media, marketing or extracurricular activities, including membership to professional societies, are a plus, but not required. Candidates should be organized, motivated, curious about the evolving digital landscape, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.
