The job:
TIME is seeking a Washington-based correspondent to cover the State Department, international affairs and national security. We are looking for an experienced reporter with proven writing skills who can break news, deliver conceptual scoops and knows how to tell a story.
You will:
• Break news
• Write analytical day stories on unfolding events
• Conceive, pitch, report and write magazine features, profiles and investigative pieces for digital and print.
You have:
• Experience as a reporter in Washington, and in foreign affairs-related work.
• Clarity of thought and expression.
• A record of developing and maintaining sources on a competitive beat.
• The ability to work in a highly collaborative newsroom, often under intense time pressure.
• A passion for the truth and a commitment to the highest standards of journalism.
This position is based in Washington D.C.
