Summary
Pearson Online Blended Learning is seeking a driven Sr. Analyst, Enrollment Planning for our growing Family Analytics team. The Analytics team is charged with supporting and delivering proactive, actionable insights across a variety of functional areas such as marketing, finance, family services, web content and operations. The Sr Analyst will support the success of the organization by collaborating cross-functionally to develop accurate enrollment plans for each line of business including partner schools and marketing programs. He/She will be responsible for maintaining the plan and adapting it accordingly as the goals and strategy changes across the organization as well as be responsible for reporting performance versus plans including identifying sources of variance and evaluating risk to plan. Additionally, the role will contribute in weekly and monthly business review meetings and maintain records of key events to reference in future reporting and forecasting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Develop and update enrollment plans and lead-generation targets through collaboration with key functional areas including finance, marketing, family support services and web content.
• Cascade annual enrollment plans into detailed daily marketing plans which include applications, leads and traffic leveraging information including financial guidance, historical performance notes, marketing and family support services.
• Actively contribute and participate in the daily and weekly communication of business performance vs targets including business review meetings, highlighting performance to plan, drivers of plan variance, enrollment projections for future periods, as well as identifying risks and opportunities.
• Perform business line projection at a macro level across all schools as well as individual projections depending on the business need
• Report on the different drivers of the projections at the macro and granular level and be able to do ad-hoc reporting to support needs of different teams.
• Support Call Center and Operations teams with daily plans
• Maintain the historical performance notes by recording key calendar events (campaigns, new school launches, etc) which can be leveraged to build accurate forecasts and identify risks/opportunities vs previous years.
• Proactively identify and implement actions to improve forecasting and reporting processes and overall forecasting accuracy.
• Support and conduct ad hoc analyses as needed.
Qualifications
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, along with the ability to make recommendations based on analysis are extremely important
• Exhibits strong business acumen and financial discipline when analyzing the business and identifying risks/opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations; has a keen eye for details
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly-collaborative environment by influencing without authority
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Attention to detail, able to multitask, troubleshoot and problem solve
Education and/or Experience
• BA/BS in marketing, economics, statistics or business or other quantitative discipline
• 3+ years of experience in a forecasting or sales/demand planning role – preferably in a lead-generation or ecommerce environment.
• Highly proficient with MS Excel.
