Job Description
The Special Events Clerk is responsible for completing various tasks related to supporting of the various events hosted by the resort including providing excellent customer service skills to guests.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assists with pre-event planning, tasks and projects.
• Serves as a greeter for guests attending various special events.
• Provides administrative support.
• Puts together gift packages, mailers and other event related materials.
• Completes guest check-in.
• Assists with event tear down and clean-up.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• At least six months of related hospitality experience working in a customer service-related role.
• Consistently demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and customer service.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic administrative and computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• At least 21 years of age
Preferred:
• Experience working on Stratton Warren.
• Ability to communicate in other languages.
• Previous experience working in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Management, Marketing or a related field.

Work is performed in a casino environment and throughout the property in all locations. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests is necessary. Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Requires bending and reaching. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires use of standard office equipment. Requires basic math. Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
