The Opportunity – Automation / Integration Specialist
This key member of the Marketing Support team will play a critical, hands-on role in supporting internal Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Marketing customers. As a dedicated resource, the Automation /Integration Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day operations to include executing and maintaining the configuration, reporting, training, support, maintenance, and overall health of the Eloqua Marketing Automation tool. This position is located in Geneva, Illinois or Boston, Massachusetts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Program and provide technical support for the Eloqua Marketing Automation system
• Assist with Google analytics and other tools for analyzing web activity
• Perform day-to-day system maintenance and configuration to the Eloqua tool. Act as the first line of defense for proactive system monitoring (check daily reports and failed calls), as well as reactive problem resolution management with Oracle
• Participate in technical design activities to support business requests and work closely with teams to implement new functionality and product features
• Execute unit testing and support user acceptance testing for programs written in Eloqua; Update field integrations between Eloqua and SalesForce.com CRM as needed. Support integrations with other 3rd party systems including Cvent
• Responsible for managing the underlying data inputs / structures that impact the Marketing Automation system in order to scale and perform reliably; Implement programs to populate/cleanse data fields as needed.
• Maintains general Eloqua housekeeping standards such as managing, auditing, and overseeing directory folder structures and asset naming consistency (segments, campaign names, canvases, reports, basic page tagging, etc.) as well as manages the creation of new segments and campaign canvases; Administers weekly Marketing Automation Governance committee meetings with marketing stakeholders to review proposed system/policy changes.
• Provisioning of Eloqua accounts (username / password) to internal TWCBC marketing clients in need of access to the tool in order to manage, execute, and report on marketing efforts launched out of the Eloqua Marketing Automation tool. Provide direct training to new internal users of the tool, as well as provision training/ support services provided by third parties.
Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of Administration experience with Oracle Eloqua; additional related Marketing Cloud Products are a plus
• Preferred: Oracle recognized certification Eloqua Masters Certification, Oracle Business Intelligence
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and deliver on commitments in a timely manner
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Ability to extract and analyze data out of Oracle Eloqua to use for troubleshooting and reporting
Required Education and Technical Proficiencies:
• Eloqua experience is REQUIRED MS Office Suite: high level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access Experience with database management applications a plus.
• HTML, CSS, Javascript a plus
• Tools such as: Microstrategy, Domo, Business Objects, SAS, MS SQL Server, or comfort with SQL coding preferred
• BA / BS in quantitative or technical field preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
• The person in this position needs to move about inside office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
