HELP DESK / JR SYSADMIN
imre is looking for a new staffer, capable of handling Tier 1 support and light sysadmin duties for a fast-paced full-service marketing communications agency.
ABOUT THE JOB AND WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
If you work at imre, you will have responsibilities at our offices in West Hollywood as well as supporting coworkers remotely on the east coast.
You should be able to respond to email and Slack requests in a timely fashion, often many per day. With the support of our Director of IT and external MSP, and in collaboration with them, you will be responsible for desktop support and more at all of our offices. Occasionally, with reasonable notice, we may require weekend and evening assistance.
You should know your way around Macs and iOS, and know some of the troubleshooting tips and tricks for both of these platforms. You value responsiveness and dialogue with your coworkers, providing excellent client service. You are persistent in seeking solutions that are not just good enough, but are above and beyond the call.
We intend for this to be a learning opportunity for someone with experience in the IT field, though it is adaptable to someone with substantial experience. We are willing to spend time training to fill holes in your knowledge, but we are also looking for someone who can be productive fairly quickly. You should have domain knowledge around macOS and iOS, both administration and troubleshooting. If you have additional IT experience, it will be considered favorably. We do not require certifications or degrees, but certifications and degrees are welcome.
A typical day in this job will involve responding to support requests from our staff, and helping implement IT projects. You will be responsible for following up on requests as well as some monitoring of our IT systems, as well as other duties as assigned.
