Job Description
The Opportunity
Premion, the new “Over-the-Top” (“OTT”) advertising and media business, seeks a Financial Manager. Major responsibilities include supporting the billing/invoicing process with sales, month-end close procedures, evaluating and approving sales custom quotes, and modeling ad-hoc operational data. Premion is a high growth division of TEGNA.

Responsibilities
• Provides support to sales for the invoicing process of the Premion Direct customers. Reviews and approves invoice revisions and works with TEGNA’s billing team to streamline the process for Premion.
• Provides support to the National Shared Service Center on month-end accounting processes. This includes revenue, sales commissions and other journal entries as needed.
• Collaborate with Tegna Corporate Finance, Accounting, Billing and Audit teams to implement and manage best practices for finance and accounting.
• Responsible for gross margin analysis of individual sales custom quotes to support Premion’s revenue and profitability goals. Approves or denies these RFPs based on inventory mix and other guidance as needed.
• Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant to the business. Performs ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or an applicable analytical field of study.
• 4 to 7 years of analytical experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and strong modeling skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to effectively solve problems and address opportunities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, goal oriented and results focused, and the ability to process transactions while meeting tight deadlines
• Maintain a professional presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Tableau, WideOrbit or Freewheel desired.
