Looking for a bright and enthusiastic team player to join the SyncShop Music Licensing team at Sony Music.
Responsibilities
• Reporting to the VP, TV & Film Licensing
• Handle bulk rate card TV shows, short film, misc. projects clearances as assigned
• Create email blasts to key strategic internal partners
• Learn company specific database system (GOLD), to input and update requests as needed
• Create playlists which cater to specific genres and TV shows
• Send WAVs, MP3s and Stems to clients for assigned projects
• Actively monitor and manage SyncShop social media sites
• Handle non-profit requests
• Attend and actively participte in departmental meetings
Qualifications
• Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of Music Licensing, song research, rights negotiations and industry trends.
• Must work well under pressure and with tight deadlines, ability to accurately manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Music Licensing at a record label, music publisher, TV Network, Film Studio or production music library.
• Passion for film & television music. Ability to professionally and personably communicate in all manners internally and with clients both written and verbal.
• Ability to process and navigate fast moving high amounts of data and paperwork.
• Handle departmental admin duties as directed and assigned
• Solid understanding of music licensing is preferred
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus while working under stressful and demanding situations.
• The use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are absolutely required.
• Ability to make sound decisions and solve a variety of problems.
• Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Internet and typcial office equipment.
