Job Description
Position Summary
Responsible for delivery of the global training program. Duties include development, facilitation, and auditing of training programs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with the design, implementation and maintaining of Discovery, Re-Discovery, Cash Handling, University 101, 201, and 301 training programs.
• Provide training to approximately 2,500 team members and seasonal leaders throughout the season.
• Audit and provide feedback to team members and seasonal leaders on execution of training objectives through field audits.
• Track and monitor labor law compliance through compliance auditing, documentation, discipline, and retraining.
• Maintain training files for all Park staff.
• Assist employee services office with day-to-day functions, including interviewing, paperwork processing, answering of telephones, and daily employee interactions.
• Document employee experience through photographs throughout the year.
• Cultivate positive working relationships with Park leadership.
• Assist with grooming enforcement and communication.
• Responsible for communication to Park staff on upcoming events, training objectives, and important messaging.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Reporting Structure
• Reports directly to the Training Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
• Experience training and/or presenting information to groups.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.
• Strong work ethic with an attention to detail.
• Friendly, proactive, service-oriented approach to problem solving required.
• Must be able to work professionally and productively with all levels of management including Supervisors and Managers as well as Directors and Park President.
• Theme park, entertainment or tourism related experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be detail oriented and very organized.
• Friendly, outgoing and aggressive personality, along with excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and presentation skills are necessary.
