We have an exciting opening for a new Publishing Director at Cell Press to cover a growing portfolio of business development areas.
The specific responsibilities associated with this role cover the integration and strategic development of at least one major open access journal, plus oversight of our Society partner publishing program and our growing Trends review journal portfolio through management of the respective Publishers. In this role you would also be responsible for oversight of additional business development projects within and, as needed, beyond Cell Press.
This is an important leadership role within Cell Press that covers a number of key areas of our overall business. As a Publishing Director, you would be part of the Cell Press senior management team, and you would be expected to interface effectively with a broad range of stakeholders within Cell Press and the wider Elsevier organization to advance strategic goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop both strategic leadership skills and diverse expertise across a broad range of publishing areas.
What you will bring:
• At least 5 years of experience in the publishing industry
• A track record of initiating and driving successful projects
• An appreciation of the contribution that societies make to the publishing landscape
• A clear understanding of open access publishing
