About Us:
AMC Networks is looking for a Manager of Retention Marketing inside its New Digital Business Group. This dynamic group is focused on new streaming content businesses and currently operates the high-growth streaming video subscription services: Shudder, dedicated to suspenseful and thrilling entertainment, and Sundance Now, focused on indie and high-quality films, documentaries and original series.
Shudder and Sundance Now are the leading SVOD services in their respective categories. They offer the best in curated, exclusive and original programming and are accessible on all major streaming video platforms (web, iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, FireTV, Xbox, etc.). These services launched less than three years ago and are scaling and expanding globally at an explosive rate.

Overview of Role:
This position reports to the Director of Retention Marketing and is responsible for engaging and activating our subscriber base to increase lifetime value and growth through loyalty and referral programs. The ideal candidate must be a creative marketer but also data-driven and highly analytical with success in managing retention marketing programs for a direct-to-consumer online subscription product/service.
This is a position that will demand both a keen marketing sense and strong multi-tasking skills to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is a team player is hardworking and motivated by the challenge of exceeding aggressive business targets.
Responsibilities:
• Build, test and grow loyalty programs to increase retention, driving strategy and testing various benefits and rewards
• Collaborate with the Acquisition Marketing and Customer Service teams to develop new programs that will drive improvements in lifetime value
• Manage and optimize trigger and one-off email campaigns and push notification programs to drive engagement of existing members, conversions of free trialers, and reactivations of lapsed members
• Carry out segmentation of the database and A/B test various email campaigns to establish the most effective strategies
• Maintain, evaluate and analyze conversion measurements and performance reporting across numerous engagement metrics
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2 to 4 years retention/customer management with an online subscription business
• Strong knowledge of direct marketing principles and practices a must
• Proven track record of managing loyalty and rewards programs
• Solid understanding of email marketing
• Membership/subscription or other continuity marketing experience a must
• Strong analytical capability
• Excellent project management skills with ability to multitask and work well within a fast paced, tight deadline environment
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills including excellent business writing and presentation skills
