Overview
The Digital Marketing Manager runs the strategy and execution for Thomas Nelson Bibles digital marketing channels and marketing tactics, such as sales funnels, email, blogs/websites, social media, and online advertising. It requires a high degree of attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and direct all digital marketing tactics for TN Bibles and Study Resources across all channels, including promotional emails, newsletters, blogs, social media, and online advertising.
• Pursue marketing, design, and platform innovation that delivers business goals
• Direct design, development, and maintenance of the marketing aspects of ThomasNelsonBibles.com and BibleConnection.com, including landing pages, lead collection,, and banner ads.
• Build and maintain analytics dashboards and KPIs for the channel
• Create digital marketing assets (online ads, emails, websites, graphics, memes, etc.) for internal and external email lists, blogs, affiliates, paid search, and social media marketing.
• Speak into digital marketing strategy for key Bible and study resource products, fostering a collaborative environment with the product managers, editorial, and sales teams in the early stages of launch planning.
• In consultation with product managers, develop and execute social/online/email retail marketing plans to reach target audiences..
• Be a “best practices” resource for digital tactics and direct-response marketing, keeping abreast of emerging technologies and online/social/email successes; report findings and all campaign results to marketing team and help integrate into existing and future campaigns.
• Manage Thomas Nelson Bibles email execution, including design, testing, and scheduling of emails and newsletters.
• Other related responsibilities, as required.
Qualifications
Work Experience/Knowledge:
• 5+ years in a digital marketing or marketing designer role
• Working knowledge of direct response marketing tactics and design elements
• Experience with content-oriented online/social marketing
• Well-versed in both traditional and digital marketing campaigns
• Familiarity with CRM systems, email/interactive marketing software like Silverpop, WordPress, social media dashboards, and other digital marketing solutions
Education:Bachelor's in marketing, design, or related field
Industry Knowledge:
• Understanding of the Christian market’s felt needs and mindset ideal
• Familiarity with the publishing industry also preferred
Skills:
• Certifications in Google Analytics and Google Adwords
• Experience managing high profile social media accounts. Facebook certification preferred
• Strong analytical and metrics-based decision making experience
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
• Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects
• Strong organizational, time management skills with attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work independently under tight deadlines
• Must possess the skill to set priorities and problem solve
• Working knowledge of HTML and other programming languages
• Strong computer skills necessary, especially Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications
