Job Description
KFMB Stations in San Diego is looking for aProducer for our new morning radio show. We need a multi-skilled and multi-talented professional that can handle the traditional Morning Show Producer/Content Director role, as well as other daily business responsibilities. This position will be required to select compelling content, guide the talent, book guests, screen callers, write bits, develop programming and promotional ideas for the show, produce audio/video promos and may be a contributor to the show “on mic”. Essentially this is an “in-show director” that will work closely with the Program Director as well as the on-air talent.
We are looking for candidates that have a great attitude, are extremely creative, and possess excellent studio skills. Additional responsibilities include:
• Storyline directing & producing
• Collect audio for the show (sound bites/clips from tv shows, event, concerts, live shows, etc.)
• Produce daily promos and archive shows for Replays
• Assist with imaging and production for morning show and the station, when needed
• Website & social media content coordination, programming/distribution (multiple platforms)
• Monitor and reply to listener inquiries (email, social media, etc.)
• Liaison between talent and sales
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 2 years radio or tv experience
• Imaging/Production experience (college or broadcast training preferred)
• Working knowledge of digital audio systems (e.g., ENCO, Wide Orbit, Vox Pro, Pro Tools and Adobe Audition)
• Extensive knowledge of FCC broadcast rules and regulations; knowledge of federal, state and local contesting rules and regulations
• Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, prioritize and meet specific deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including grammar and the ability to adjust communication style based on audience needs)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Proficient with social media platforms
• Other desirable skills include: Video editing and production; Photo production/editing; experience with audio effects (compression, EQ, special effects); and/or the ability to orchestrate Podcasts
