Job Summary
The Senior Director of Solutions Marketing leads a team of solutions marketers and marketing communications experts who are responsible for crafting messaging, sales enablement, campaigns and other marketing programs, in support of growth initiatives across the vast CenturyLink portfolio of products. The Sr Director works across multiple shared service and business units and builds harmonious and collaborative partnerships with leaders and product owners across the organization.
The Senior Director of Solutions Marketing is a thought leader who drives strategy and vision while mentoring and developing team members’ career paths. This leader establishes an infrastructure that supports effective partner relationships, and leverages cross-functional relationships for the organization's maximum benefit. The Sr Director develops strategy for dealing with multidimensional issues (e.g., multilateral, national and global).
Job Description
• Manage and oversee a large team of solutions marketers who are responsible for all solutions related messaging across a large global services portfolio.
• Determine the overall strategy and direction for the team in line with the stated goals of the Product organization.
• Set individual goals and objectives for team members and measure achievement against goals. Provide regular feedback, coaching and development opportunities to team members
• Key solutions champion, driving and communicating CenturyLink’s cross portfolio strategy and direction within the market place to our internal customers
• Guide and develop marketing projects, leading solutions marketing managers to write compelling cross-portfolio content that resonates with customer needs and positions our services for success.
• Contribute to the development of the cross-portfolio Product Family taxonomy (Market-facing grouping of products).
• Coordinate with the corporate marketing team to create external collateral material and messaging to ensure we always have the latest refreshed product assets in the hands of customers.
• Coordinate all product managers in the company to assure alignment within each product 'silo' but, more importantly consistency 'horizontally' across all products
Qualifications
• 10+ years experience in product management, product marketing, or marketing
• 3+ years in sales, marketing and/or other commercial experience with a customer facing
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Telecommunications, Internet, Software or IT preferred experience of market-facing or customer-facing experience.
• Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market.
• A demonstrable passion for the potential of the transformation of communications and cloud-based solutions
• Proven leadership skills managing large and complex team
• Proven results developing and understanding solutions marketing strategy
• Technology Go-To-Market experience: product management or product marketing in a relevant industry: TSolid technical capabilities in a related area
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s or advanced degree preferred
• Strong B2B marketing background, product marketing experienced preferred
