JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for a proactive and organized Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. The CHRO leads a team who work together as a high-functioning unit. We will rely on you not just to support the CHRO, but also to be an important player who will help strengthen our entire HR team. We need you to be the welcoming and supportive face of the HR department with deep familiarity of all other departments and what they do. We need you to be prompt, work independently, exercise sound judgment and take initiative. In addition to managing all administrative tasks, you will also be tasked with working with sensitive and confidential information.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage an active calendar of appointments; handle all aspects of business travel and travel agendas; research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns; be an active partner with the CHRO to help him run and manage the department
• Build and maintain filing and tracking systems to organize significant amounts of information; handle other sensitive or confidential information; prepare correspondence
• Screen incoming calls; prepare and/or review memoranda, correspondence, business updates, meeting notes
• Keep tabs on where each member of the HR team is, what s/he is working on, how s/he can be reached
• Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion; be able to adapt to fast-changing circumstances
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 4+ years of high-caliber administrative and/or executive assistant experience preferred
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Superior time management - ability to prioritize large workloads
• Flexible - takes direction with ease
• Critical thinking - takes initiative - self-motivated
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
• Positive “Can Do” attitude
