Description
Forbes Media seeks an enthusiastic, highly motivated, team player to join our ForbesLive team at an Event Manager. This individual has strong communication and organization skills and a background events and conferences. The Event Manager position will comprehensively support the Event Sales and Marketing department, in the numerous ForbesLive client events and conferences produced yearly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute and oversee sales/marketing custom client events
• Vendor search and contract negotiations
• Create and maintain timelines, BEOs, specialized floor plans, budgets
• Working with design on invitation & branding creation
• Day-of management of events & event staff, including nights and occasional weekends
• This role is client facing and requires flexibility and strong communication internally and externally.
• Must be very well versed in Microsoft – Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook; as well as Google docs.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-4 years’ experience in events and conferences.
• This person will also be highly detail-oriented, possess superior writing, verbal and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
