Job Summary
The Planner is responsible for NetEx cost management/margin improvement, handling jeopardy/capacity case resolutions, fielding ad hoc inquiries, and performing analysis and executing on changes in the areas of:
• Access Assurance Program in the f-LVLT Environment
• Local Access NetEx Reduction Target of $10M+ annually; including reporting of achieved NetEx reduction to target
• Negotiation and communication with internal stakeholders and third-party access providers
• Follow-through on changes to ensure they were successfully implemented
• Root cause analysis to drive efficiencies and improvements in quoting, order entry and service delivery systems/tools and processes
Job Description
• Investigate/negotiate and implement improved cost structure for local access to drive margin improvement activities
• Jeopardy/capacity case resolution for issues with pricing, interconnect capacity, data integrity, special construction and searching for alternatives when protracted off-net vendor intervals are encountered
• Field ad hoc inquires involving third party (off-net) access
• Analyze data and impacts to processes in response to inquiries / business problems
• Other projects/duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years related experience
• Knowledge of f-LVLT Provisioning, Sales, CCM and Order Entry processes/workflows
• Strong accountability and ownership skills, including strong follow-through skills
• Previous experience working with directly with sales/AD’s/CCM’s
• Proven ability to solve complex analytical challenges, independently analyze information, and make recommendations/complex decisions based on analysis
• Superior collaboration skills, demonstrated ability to develop strong interdepartmental relationships
• Embrace change, communicate in all directions, and pursue continuous learning opportunities
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, maintain a high level of attention to data/result integrity, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Required systems knowledge: OMC, PRO, IFO, Scenario Manager
Preferred Qualifications:
• Expert level knowledge of local access (TDM, SONET, ELA and WLA)
• Expert knowledge of affiliate and third party local access, including: NetEx costs, third-party vendor contracts, customer pricing/revenue on access
• Expert level knowledge of MS Excel, including the use of advanced data evaluation techniques
• Preferred systems knowledge: COMET, Access Assurance Tool, EON, RSI, ASRI, AMS, Siebel, Pipeline, CAT, iSE, GLM, CPO, SWiFT, Netbuild, ROC and LattisPro
