Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for daily reports and audits of Casino financial activity
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reconciles daily banking information and provides monthly analysis related to bank accounts, credit card batch submissions, patron checks cashed, and receivables.
• Provides monthly reconciliation of cash clearing accounts and deposits in transit.
• Assists with the accounts payable process and ensure that A/P reports balance to general ledger accounts.
• Participates in counting/auditing inventory on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintains fixed assets and related documentation including CERs, POs and related vendor invoices for each project.
• Participates in monthly close and prepare journal entries and reconciliations in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP.
• Assists with annual capital and financial operating budgets.
• Prepares monthly financial reporting package for management.
• Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and assist with testing.
• Assists with the internal and external audit process.
• Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred; gaming and/or hospitality experience a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Frequent standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time.
• Work area is indoors and subject to variable temperatures.
• May be subject to smoking environment, moderate noise and bright lights.
