Job Description
CenturyLink 2019 Summer Internship Opportunity!CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study. Interns in our Local Field Ops Reporting & Analytics department will be challenged to apply their knowledge gained in the classroom to real world problems.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real world Innovation initiatives for a Fortune 200 company. Responsibilities for this internship include risk assessment modeling tied to company demand activities, automating weather forecasting applications to determine impacts from weather from a required resource perspective and working with Dispatch to ensure that the field has the resources they need and determining where our results will land with the resources we’re putting at the storms.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Someone who is analytically focused, geared towards action, and works collaboratively
• Ability to follow complex directions and work effectively with minimal direct supervision efficiently
• Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented
• Professional attitude
Minimum Requirements:
• Classification: Junior, Senior or Graduate status by start of internship
• Pursing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics or another related field.
• Currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University
• 3.0 or above cumulative GPA
• Reliable transportation and the ability to follow directions is a must
